The team Cnidevo, led by Chiara Sinigaglia and Lucas Leclère, investigates how animal forms develop and evolve in their environments, integrating cell and developmental biology, biomechanics, genomics and phylogenetic approaches. We focus on cnidarians, a group of mostly marine animals, which display a rich diversity of life cycles, and remarkable regenerative capacities. Our two main experimental systems are the hydrozoan Clytia hemisphaerica and the scyphozoan Pelagia noctiluca.
